S83 Personal Property Registry

 

Purposes: - Register Writ

 

This screen allows MIMS users to initiate a PPR against the Debtor on the file or other party as required via a Court Order, and to notify that party (when writ is against debtor party) of filing at Personal Property Registry.  Other PPR is used when there is a need to place a PPR on a file against a 3rd party due to 3rd party judgment. 

 

Prerequisites: - Register Writ

 

  1. MIMS user must be an authorized actor to update on this screen.

  The following actors have the ability to update:

·         Call Center Agents

·         Collection Support Agents

·         Compliance 4 Agents

·         Compliance 5 Agents

·         File Intervention Agents

·         MEP Senior Managements

·         MIMS 

·         ISO Agents

·         RGPU Agents

·         Special Investigation Unit Agents

·         System Administrator

 

Helpful Hints: - Register Writ

 

·         File must have an enforceable balance greater than 0

·         Debtor party must have mailing address (good or bad status)

·         Debtor party must have a date a of birth

·         PPR tool does not require a valid QB order

·         Can only have one active PPR for the debtor but multiple PPR’s can exist for 3rd party (other)

·         If PPR is to be registered against a third party, ascertain that there is a Court Order that allows enforcement tools to be actioned against that party.

Procedures

1.       Select radio button next to debtor if the writ is to be against the debtor.

OR

      Select radio button next to other if the writ is to be against a 3rd party.

2.       When other is selected enter the judgment date against the 3rd party, the amount of the judgment awarded to MEP and who the judgment was against.

3.       If required enter comments about the tool if required.

4.       Click ‘Request’ to create a work task that will be issued to the MEP Personal Property Registries work list that will be completed by the collection support agents.

Displays current date in YYYYMMDD format where Y = Year, M = Month and D = Day.

Displays current User Id that is in the screen

Select radio button next to debtor if the writ is to be against the debtor.  Select radio button next to other if the writ is to be against a 3rd party

Special Instructions

Special Instructions will appear on the work task that is issued to the MEP Personal Property Registry bucket if the instructions are specified.

Mandatory field when ‘Other’ is selected.  When other is selected this is the field to enter the judgment date against the 3rd party, the amount of the judgment awarded to MEP, who the judgment was against.

Remarks

Free text, user can make comments about the tool if required. 

Maximum characters = 200.

Upon clicking ‘Request’ a work task will be issued to the MEP Personal Property Registries work list that will be completed by the collection support agents.
